É poeta, professor, jornalista profissional e escritor. Membro imortal da Academia Interamericana de Escritores, com sede em Fortaleza–CE. Licenciado em matemática; licenciado em Ciências Biológicas; Especialista em Biologia pela Universidade Federal de Lavras, Minas Gerais.

Sobre ser professor, há várias definições:
Umas estranhas, bizarras, outras até vazias.
Às vezes sem sentido, cheias de indefinições,
Calorosas, eloquentes, outras tristes e frias.
Que cada um encontre a que lhe agrade!
É democrático, mas não explica nem define.
O que se sente não se ostenta nem se alarde.
Vive-se. Só isso. Com palavras não se exprime.
Mas há que se definir o termo indefinido!
Para quem não o sente ou ainda não faz sentido
Esmerando-se em vocábulos. Ó filisteus!…
Por que não dizer apenas… ó mente insana.
Que ser professor é trabalhar com Deus
Na imensa edificação da criatura humana?!

Being teacher, there’s a lot of definitions:
Some are weird, bizarre, and others, even empty.
Sometimes senseless, full of indefinitions,
Some warm, eloquent, others sad and cold.
May you find that one that delights you!
It’s democratic, but doesn’t explain or defines.
The feeling is not flaunted or boasted.
It lives. Just that. You can’t express by words.
But still, we shall define the indefinite term!
For those that doesn’t feel it or still don’t make sense.
Focusing on words. Oh, filisteu!…
Why just not say… oh, insane mind.
That being a teacher is working with God
Above the huge edification of the human creature?!
